About the Role

Are you an experienced Transport Controller or Coordinator looking for your next challenge? World Courier — a global leader in specialty logistics and temperature-controlled supply chain solutions — is looking for a driven and detail-oriented Transport Controller to join our Domestic Desk team at our Feltham site.

This is a fast-paced, hands-on role at the heart of our UK operations, where no two days are the same. You'll be the crucial link between our drivers, agents, and internal teams — ensuring time-sensitive and temperature-controlled consignments are collected and delivered seamlessly, every time.

Key Details

Location: Feltham (Fully On-Site)

*

Hours: 8.5 hours per shift with a 30-minute break (40 hours per week)

*

Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday rotating shifts between 4:00am – 8:00pm

*

Weekend working and overtime as required

*

Please note: this role requires airport security clearance and a DBS check prior to starting

Key Responsibilities

*

Planning and allocating collections and deliveries across a fleet of drivers and domestic agents

*

Communicating all relevant consignment information to drivers and stakeholders clearly and efficiently

*

Monitoring emails, mobile communications, our Transport Management System (TMS)

*

Updating and tracking consignments on our internal system

*

Downloading and distributing temperature monitor data for customer service analysis

*

Preparing specialist packaging and temperature-controlled consignments, and managing packaging stock levels

*

Working closely with the Duty Controller and Department Lead Team to keep the Domestic Desk running to the highest standard

*

Driving when required to support the wider team

*

General administration including filing and paperwork

What We're Looking For

Essential:

*

A proven background in Transport Coordination, Transport Planning, or a similar Controller role

*

Experience in routing and transport planning for drivers

*

A road freight or logistics background

*

Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

*

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

*

Ability to prioritise, multitask, and stay calm under pressure

*

A flexible attitude — this role involves shift work and occasional last-minute coverage

*

A valid driving licence

*

Willingness to undergo airport security clearance and a DBS check

Experience in customs, import/export operations

A background in temperature-controlled logistics
