The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

A leading global manufacturing business are currently recruiting for a Buyer on a full time, Permanent basis in Pulborough, West Sussex.
Role - Buyer
Type - Permanent
Location - Pulborough, West Sussex (Hybrid available after probation, 3 days onsite)
Key responsibilities for the Buyer will include and will not be limited to:
Place purchase orders in line with ERP requirements to support production and project deadlines
Expedite material supply with selected suppliers and produce weekly expedite reports
Analyse ERP exception messages and take action to prevent shortages and maintain flow of materials
Manage selected suppliers to improve on time delivery and control inventory levels
Prepare and issue electronic document packs to support custom part orders (for example drawings, BOMs and related files)
Liaise closely with Engineering, Planning, Sales and Manufacturing to support delivery priorities
Contribute to process improvements and support ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and health and safety requirements
Key skills and experience required for Buyer job applicant and will not be limited to:
Experience in a Buyer or purchasing role supporting manufacturing or production environments
Strong working knowledge of ERP systems and confident use of MS Office
Ability to manage supplier relationships and communicate clearly with internal stakeholders
Strong attention to detail with an analytical approach to problem solving and decision making
Organised, proactive and able to work to tight deadlines with a sense of urgency
High standards of integrity, ethical working and commitment to environmental considerations
