The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out maintenance, installations, and fault-finding activities, supporting both on-site operations and remote project requirements, while liaising closely with clients and internal teams.
The Role
As a Service Engineer, you will:
Carry out installation, maintenance, and servicing of engineering systems across various client sites
Diagnose faults and perform repairs, ensuring minimal downtime and high-quality workmanship
Support both on-site activities and remote technical requirements as part of a hybrid working model
Work closely with project teams, site supervisors, and clients to ensure smooth delivery of works
Ensure all work is completed in line with Health & Safety regulations and company procedures
Complete all required documentation, including service reports, risk assessments, and permits
Manage and maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle
Travel to sites when required, with flexibility to work both independently and as part of a team
Essential Requirements
Recognised electrical qualifications (e.g. NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
Strong electrical bias with supporting mechanical knowledge (approx. 60:40 split)
Experience carrying out maintenance, installations, and fault-finding
Good understanding of Health & Safety practices
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
Full UK driving licence
Desirable (Training Provided)
CSCS Card
Black Card (CSCS Skilled Worker / Supervisor level)
Experience working in industrial or site-based environments
Knowledge of both mechanical and electrical equipment
