The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
We’re hiring for a Tool Maker to join a manufacturing business based in Chapel-en-le-Frith.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for the safe maintenance, repair and replacement of production tooling and associated mechanical equipment.

What will you be doing as a Multi Skilled Toolmaker?
* Maintaining, repairing and replacing production tooling
* Working with machine shop equipment including turning, milling and grinding
* Supporting with wire eroding, spark eroding, welding and heat treatment processes
* Working with materials such as tungsten carbide, brass, steel, stainless steel and plastics
* Responding quickly to breakdowns where production teams need support
* Reading and working from design drawings with precise tolerances
* Manufacturing final product gauges
* Processing work through the toolroom in line with agreed priorities
* Inspecting tooling before it is issued to production
* Supporting calibration systems involving tool gauges and measuring instruments
* Demonstrating toolroom systems during internal and external audits
* Assisting with specialist project work
* Supporting apprentices or trainees with on-the-job training
What will you need?
* Experience working with machine shop equipment
* Ability to fault find and repair sequentially operated plant
* Ability to read and work from technical drawings
* Experience working to precise tolerances
* Physical capability to carry out manual work, including regular lifting and product movement
