We are currently recruiting for an experienced Business Development Manager to join an established and growing business based in Liversedge, West Yorkshire.
This is an exciting opportunity for a driven sales professional to develop new business, build strong commercial relationships and contribute to the continued growth of an established organisation.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing relationships with key decision-makers and securing new accounts, while working towards ambitious sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify and develop new business opportunities.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and commercial buyers.
* Develop new accounts and secure long-term business opportunities.
* Generate new sales opportunities through proactive business development and relationship building.
* Manage the full sales process from initial contact through to securing new business.
* Understand customer requirements and identify opportunities to increase sales.
* Maintain regular contact with prospective and existing customers.
* Work towards and achieve agreed sales targets.
* Develop long-term commercial relationships and maximise future sales opportunities.
* Maintain accurate records of sales activity, opportunities and follow-up actions.
* Work closely with internal teams to ensure customer requirements are understood and delivered effectively.
* Represent the business professionally at customer meetings and industry events where required.
* Monitor market activity and identify new opportunities for business development.
* Carry out any other reasonable duties in line with the requirements of the role.
About You
The successful candidate will have proven experience within B2B sales, business development or a similar sales-focused role, with a strong track record of developing new business and building long-term commercial relationships.
Experience within the furniture, manufacturing or related sectors would be advantageous, particularly where you have experience dealing with major commercial buyers.
You will ideally have:
* Proven experience in Business Development, B2B Sales, Contract Sales or a similar role.
* A strong track record of winning new business.
* Experience developing and managing relationships with commercial buyers and decision-makers.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
* Strong negotiation and influencing abilities.
* A proactive and self-motivated approach.
* The ability to identify opportunities and convert them into new business.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
* The ability to work independently and take ownership of your sales activity.
* A commercial and target-driven approach.
* Experience within the furniture, manufacturing or related sectors would be advantageous.
* A full UK driving licence is essential.
