The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you as a Pyrometry Engineer at our customer embedded site in Wolverhampton.
About the RoleJoining our team as a Pyrometry Calibration Engineer. Key part to this role is the inspection and validation of certificates (Trescal and third party). Maintaining relevant records of work, data, and results in a traceable and auditable manner. Utilising NADCAP and UKAS to carry out Calibrations and support the customers technical needs. You will be responsible for calibrating measuring instrumentation used in Customer accredited processes in accordance with ISO 9001, Company Procedures, and recognised specifications.
Your key responsibilities will also include:
Perform calibration of customer equipment using approved procedures and good Metrology practice. Calibrating measuring instrumentation on a customer site to traceable standards.
Ensure all certificates and records are completed accurately.
Participate in customer surveillance and accreditation audits.
Maintain the availability of the Laboratory standards as dictated by the Head of Quality.
Perform internal cross comparison audits within the Laboratory as required.
Produce and audit calibration procedures for use within the Laboratory for customer calibration.
Develop measurement uncertainty budgets for customer calibrations.
Conduct all duties in accordance with Company Health and Safety procedures and policies.
Provide technical support to colleagues on request in line with capability.
Work unsupervised to approved calibration procedures.
Understand and utilise calibration procedures and have a good understanding of the importance and application of the AMS2750 standard in calibration.
Sign certificates in the agreed area of expertise.
Maintain and produce accurate calibration records enabling the production of calibration certificates

Requirements
Have a technical qualification such as HND, HNC, NVQ/BTEC Level 3 or above.
Good understanding of calibration practices and theories.
Knowledge of Windows-based and laboratory automation software.
Experience of working within a customer focused environment.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work with the minimum of supervision & manage your own workload
