The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

We are looking for a highly organised and customer-focused Business Support Assistant to support our Quotation & Delivery Planning team within the Connections, Projects directorate. In this permanent role, you will work closely with Designers, Network Operations, contractors, suppliers, and customers to help manage the journey from initial enquiry through to final energisation.
This role offers a salary of £36,723, a 3% bonus, and blended working after probation, with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and working in a fast-paced operational environment. You will help deliver excellent customer service, manage enquiries, maintain accurate project and regulatory data, prepare workpacks, support energisation and disconnection activities, and act as a key link between internal teams and external partners across the electricity industry.
You will thrive in this role if you have strong customer management skills, confidence working with systems and data, the ability to stay organised under pressure, and a collaborative, solution-focused approach. Experience in connections, utilities, or a regulated environment would be beneficial, as would a basic awareness of the electricity industry.
