EHS Advisor

Salary: Up to £55,000 DOE + Benefits Package
We are working in partnership with a leading international engineering and construction specialist to recruit an experienced EHS Advisor to support a strong pipeline of projects across South Wales. Our client delivers high-quality design and build solutions across a range of sectors including Food, Pharmaceutical, Logistics, Data Centres, and Advanced Manufacturing. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of health and safety policies across live construction sites
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation and company standards
- Carry out regular site inspections, audits, and reporting, providing feedback to senior project stakeholders
- Track and ensure close-out of actions identified in safety reports within agreed timescales
- Support and guide site teams, promoting a strong safety culture across all levels
- Assist with accident investigations and ensure timely and thorough reporting
- Oversee site inductions for operatives and subcontractors
- Ensure welfare facilities, site setups, and statutory notices meet required standards
- Review and approve Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
- Monitor permits to work and safe handling/storage of COSHH materials
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience working within a construction environment in an EHS-focused role
- Relevant EHS qualification (e.g., NEBOSH or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of current health and safety legislation
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
- Well-organised with strong time management and problem-solving abilities
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-pressure project environments
