The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Trek Recruitment is partnering with a large, prestigious organisation in Wrexham to recruit an experienced Head of Estates & Facilities for an initial 6-month contract. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of estates and campus services across a multi-site portfolio.
THE ROLE
You will lead the strategic direction and day-to-day delivery of a comprehensive estates and facilities function. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned estates professional to make a significant impact on the organisation's campus environment, operational efficiency, and long-term estate development.
Key Responsibilities
Provide visible and strategic leadership for Estates Management services across multiple sites (20 mile radius of Wrexham, Wrexham main day to day work location).
Lead the planning and delivery of major capital projects, planned maintenance programmes, and estate development initiatives.
Ensure the highest standards of compliance, health & safety, sustainability, and risk management.
Manage and develop a multi-disciplinary in-house team alongside key outsourced contractors and specialist suppliers.
Take full responsibility for budgetary control, financial planning, cost optimisation, and the identification of income generation opportunities.
Drive continuous service improvement and deliver an excellent customer experience for all stakeholders. YOU
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
Significant senior leadership experience in Estates, Facilities, or Property Management within a complex multi-site environment.
A proven track record in managing large-scale capital projects, maintenance programmes, and estates compliance.
Strong commercial acumen, with excellent skills in strategic planning, budget management, and financial control.
Highly developed stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels.
A degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline, combined with a strong professional track record.
NEBOSH, IOSH, or other relevant health & safety / facilities qualifications are highly desirable.
Previous experience in the Higher Education sector would be a distinct advantage. What's On Offer
