How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Are you ready to build high-quality electrical control panels within a growing and supportive engineering environment?

    This is a fantastic opportunity for a Panel Wirer to join a specialist electrical engineering business delivering control panel solutions and electrical systems for industrial and commercial applications. Whether you're an experienced Panel Wirer looking for your next challenge or an electrically qualified engineer wanting to further develop your practical skills, this role offers excellent hands-on experience, project variety and long-term stability within a friendly engineering team.

    The Role:

    From panel wiring and electrical assembly through to testing and installation support, this varied position offers the opportunity to develop your skills across areas such as:

    Layout and assembly of electrical components within control panels and equipment frameworks
    Wiring electrical control panels, specialised machinery and frame-mounted components
    Installation of cable tray, trunking and conduits
    Reading and interpreting schematic, wiring and GA drawings
    Supporting electrical testing and fault-finding activities when required

    What We’re Looking For:

    We’re open to electrically qualified engineers looking to build their experience or experienced Panel Wirers ready to take ownership within a busy workshop environment.

    You could be a great fit if you have experience or interest in:

    Control panel wiring and field wiring
    Reading electrical schematics and technical drawings
    Electrical assembly and installation work
    Maintaining quality standards and meeting project deadlines
    The following would also be beneficial:

    Recognised apprenticeship or Level 3 electrical qualification
    18th Edition Electrical Regulations
    Strong practical and problem-solving skills
    Positive team-focused attitude with good attention to detail
