We are working in partnership with a major player in the M&E and engineering sector to recruit an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join their growing team in the Central Belt.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and highly respected contractor with a strong pipeline of work across commercial, infrastructure, and high-profile projects.
The RoleAs a Mechanical Estimator, you will play a key role in the pre-construction team, responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a range of mechanical building services projects.
Key responsibilities include:
Preparing detailed cost estimates for mechanical packages (HVAC, plumbing, pipework, etc.)
Analysing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations
Identifying value engineering opportunities
Supporting bid submissions and tender reviews
Working closely with internal design, commercial, and project teamsWhat We’re Looking For
Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator within M&E / building services
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and installation processes
Experience pricing medium to large-scale projects
Commercially aware with strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Proficient in estimating software and ExcelWhat’s on Offer
