How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Job description

Inclusion Manager

Location: Chippenham

Salary: £40,544 per annum

Do you believe every learner deserves the opportunity to belong, achieve and succeed?

Wiltshire College & University Centre is seeking a passionate and proactive Inclusion Manager to help strengthen and advance our commitment to inclusion, ensuring every learner feels they belong, can access opportunities and is supported to achieve their full potential.

Working across curriculum, professional services and external partnerships, you will lead initiatives that break down barriers to participation, strengthen learner engagement and improve outcomes for those who may face disadvantage, vulnerability or additional challenges during their education. This includes learners who are care experienced, from disadvantaged backgrounds, e.g. at risk of becoming NEET, retaking English and maths, or facing personal, social, emotional or economic barriers to success.

You will work closely with curriculum and professional service teams to promote belonging, improve attendance, raise aspirations and ensure learners can fully participate in all aspects of college life, including enrichment, employability and progression opportunities.

As the designated site lead for Children Looked After, previously looked after and care-experienced learners, you will support the Director of Inclusion in their role as Designated Teacher, working collaboratively with the Virtual School and external partners to improve learner experiences, outcomes and future opportunities.

We're looking for someone who is passionate about inclusion, committed to high expectations and able to influence positive change through strong relationships, collaboration and innovative practice.

What We Offer

💷 Salary: £40,544 per year

🕰️ Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

✔️ Outstanding Benefits

Membership of the Teachers' Pension Scheme

35 days paid annual leave, plus 8 paid bank holidays

Paid College closure and wellbeing days, including a 2-week paid Christmas shutdown

Access to Free On-Site Gyms at multiple campuses

Lifestyle Discounts on retail, technology, travel and leisure

Cycle-to-Work scheme to support sustainable commuting

Ongoing professional development and leadership development opportunities

A rewarding leadership role with exceptional benefits, where your wellbeing and professional growth matter as much as the success of our learners.

What You'll Do

* Drive the College's vision for inclusion, belonging and equity, ensuring all learners can participate, succeed and thrive.

* Lead initiatives that improve attendance, engagement, achievement, progression and learner experience for disadvantaged and underrepresented groups.

* Work alongside curriculum teams and professional services to identify and remove barriers to learning, participation and success.

* Develop and embed inclusive practices across the College through training, coaching and staff support.

* Coordinate targeted interventions for learners facing social, emotional, economic or personal barriers to achievement.

* Build effective partnerships with local authorities, schools, community organisations and external agencies to strengthen learner support and progression pathways.

* Support the Director of Inclusion's by acting as the designated site lead for Children Looked After and care leavers, helping to ensure they receive the support needed to thrive.

* Use data, learner voice and quality improvement activity to evaluate impact, drive improvement and support programmes that reduce the risk of learners becoming NEET.

What You'll Bring

* Experience of leading inclusion, student engagement, learner support, pastoral support or a related area within education with strong impact.

* A strong understanding of the barriers that can affect participation, achievement and progression for young people and adults.

* Experience of developing and implementing initiatives that improve learner outcomes, wellbeing and engagement.

* The ability to build strong partnerships and influence positive change across diverse teams.

* Experience of coaching, supporting and developing colleagues to embed inclusive practices.

* Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data and learner feedback to drive improvement.

* Excellent communication, organisational and partnership-building skills.

* A commitment to equality, diversity, inclusion and creating opportunities for learners from all backgrounds.

* A Level 4 teaching qualification (or equivalent).

✨ Why Choose This Path?

* Lead services that genuinely change lives and create brighter futures.

* Shape the future of inclusive education across one of the South West's leading colleges.

* Join a forward-thinking organisation where innovation, wellbeing and collaboration are at the heart of everything we do.

* Work in beautiful Wiltshire, supporting diverse communities across the county.

* Be part of an ambitious leadership team committed to excellence, opportunity and learner success.

* Make a lasting difference every single day by ensuring every learner has the support they need to achieve their ambitions.

⚡ Make a move that truly pays off

If you're ready to lead with compassion, ambition and purpose, and help shape an inclusive future for learners across Wiltshire - we'd love to hear from you.
