The Role
As Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial management of multiple projects, working closely with project teams from pre-construction through to final account.
You will be involved in both residential and commercial developments, requiring strong all-round commercial knowledge and the ability to manage costs, risks, and procurement effectively.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing project costs from inception through to completion
* Procurement of subcontractors and preparation of tender documentation
* Subcontract administration, valuations, and payments
* Cost reporting, forecasting, and CVRs
* Managing variations and change control
* Supporting value engineering and cost-saving initiatives
* Liaising with project managers, site teams, and external stakeholders
* Ensuring projects are delivered within budget and commercial targets
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction
* Experience across residential and commercial projects
* Background working for a developer or main contractor
* Strong understanding of construction contracts (JCT / NEC)
* Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills
* Strong communication and organisational abilities
