The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Our client is looking for a Bid Manager to join its Construction South team, focused on winning first-stage tenders for projects across South London and the Southeast. You'll own the bid from strategy to submission, shaping the narrative, coordinating the team and making sure every proposal is something to be proud of.
Based flexibly between home and their Weybridge office, this is a senior, visible role with real autonomy and board-level exposure.
Bid Manager Key Responsibilities:
* Leading the bid strategy end-to-end, from kick-off through to submission
* Motivating and coordinating subject matter experts to deliver their best input
* Shaping the visual presentation and written narrative of every proposal
* Working with the Proposals Manager to craft clear, compelling bid responses
* Leading governance meetings and maintaining board-level engagement in the win strategy
* Managing a line report and developing talent within the bid team
Bid Manager Experience & Skills Required:
* Strong project management skills — you can juggle deadlines and multiple contributors without dropping the ball
* Strategic thinking — you understand what clients want and can translate that into a winning offer
* Excellent writing skills — clear, concise and persuasive
* Sharp attention to detail — error-free submissions, every time
* English literature, journalism degree or equivalent is desirable; APM also welcomed
