The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join a friendly and ambitious primary school in Sutton.
This is a full-time role teaching a Year 5 class, preparing pupils for the transition into Upper Key Stage 2 through engaging lessons and high-quality teaching.
You will be:
* Teaching a Year 5 class
* Planning, preparing and delivering engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum
* Assessing pupil progress and implementing effective interventions
* Encouraging pupils to become independent, resilient and confident learners
* Building positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
* Contributing to the wider life of the school and its community
The successful candidate will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have recent experience teaching within a UK primary school, ideally within Key Stage 2. Strong curriculum knowledge, effective classroom management skills and a commitment to high standards of teaching and learning are essential.
The role includes full teaching responsibilities, including planning, marking, assessment, attending meetings and parents' evenings.
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is required, or a willingness to obtain one.
