The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Our client in the water sector is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support commercial operations across a range of infrastructure and operational projects. This long‑term contract offers the opportunity to play a key role in cost management, financial reporting, and commercial governance within a fast‑paced, essential services environment. Hybrid working is available, with regular presence required at the Maidstone office.
Key Responsibilities
Produce regular cost and revenue reports to support financial oversight
Maintain accurate daily work records and commercial documentation
Prepare and manage Schedule of Rates pricing
Reconcile subcontractor accounts and prepare payment certificates
Support valuations, cost tracking and commercial forecasting
Liaise with operational and planning teams to monitor progress and scope
Price completed works across high-volume operational activities
Identify potential commercial risks and support mitigation actions
Contribute to efficient and sustainable delivery practices
Skills & Experience Required
Proven Quantity Surveying experience within utilities.
Strong Excel capability, including confident data handling and analysis
Effective communicator with strong problem-solving ability
Experience with subcontractor management through to final account
Familiarity with NEC contracts beneficial but not essential
Ability to work flexibly, independently, and collaborative
