Are you looking to start or develop your career in Traffic Management? We are currently recruiting Balfour Beatty East Sussex Inducted LANTRA Trainee Traffic Management Operatives to support a variety of highway maintenance, utility and infrastructure projects across East Sussex.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain regular work with a leading contractor, working alongside experienced Traffic Management teams on essential road and highway schemes throughout the region.

The Role

As a Trainee Traffic Management Operative, you will assist with the installation, maintenance and removal of Traffic Management systems while ensuring the safety of road users, pedestrians and site personnel.

Typical Duties Will Include:

* Assisting with Traffic Management set-ups and removals

* Assisting with Lane Closures and Road Closures

* Loading and unloading Traffic Management equipment

* Carrying out site safety checks

* Supporting experienced Traffic Management Operatives and Foremen

* Maintaining high standards of Health & Safety at all times

* Days, Nights & Weekend Shifts Available

* 10-12 Hour Shifts

Essential Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

✅ Balfour Beatty East Sussex Induction
✅ LANTRA Traffic Management Trainee/ Gate Air Lock Qualification
✅ Valid Safety Critical Medical
✅ Full UK Driving Licence
✅ Reliable transport or ability to travel to site locations
✅ Strong commitment to Health & Safety
