Senior Finance Assistant

📍 Broxburn | 💰 Up to £38,000 DOE | 📅 Ongoing Temporary Contract | 🏢 Fully On-Site

Office Angels are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our client in Broxburn for an experienced Senior Finance & Accounts Coordinator.

This isn't a role for someone looking to process the odd invoice and watch the clock. We're looking for a seasoned finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is confident managing month-end activities, VAT returns, payroll and compliance requirements, and enjoys being the go-to person for all things finance.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Monthly accounts preparation and reporting

✅ VAT returns and tax compliance

✅ Weekly payroll processing and reconciliations

✅ Credit control, cash allocation and bank reconciliations

✅ Cash flow forecasting and financial reporting

✅ Accruals, prepayments, fixed assets and audit support

✅ Customer account management and payment query resolution

✅ Occasional reception and switchboard cover

What We're Looking For:

✔ Significant experience in a senior accounts, finance or bookkeeping position

✔ Strong knowledge of VAT returns, payroll, reconciliations and month-end processes

✔ Comfortable working with financial regulations, compliance requirements and tight deadlines

✔ Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills

✔ A hands-on, proactive approach with the ability to hit the ground running
