Role Overview
The position involves supporting heat treatment activities alongside general material preparation tasks, including cutting and handling of alloys and components. The role requires a consistent approach to safety, quality, and adherence to process standards.
Key Duties
Carry out heat treatment processes in line with technical instructions
Operate overhead cranes and forklift trucks for material handling
Undertake hardness testing (Brinell)
Support sawing operations, including cutting materials and sample preparation
Assist with furnace operation and basic programming
Maintain accurate system updates on the internal computer
Support departmental dispatch requirements
Complete routine compliance and safety checks
Follow site health and safety procedures at all timesAdditional Responsibilities
Contribute to improvement and housekeeping activities (5S)
Support problem-solving and process improvements
Participate in team-based activities as requiredCandidate Profile
Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
Previous use of cranes and FLTs preferred
Practical, reliable approach with attention to detail
Understanding of safety and quality requirements
