Academics are currently recruiting dedicated and compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistant 's to work in a range of welcoming primary schools across Cannock and the surrounding South Staffs areas. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children with additional needs and making a positive impact in the classroom.
As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will play a key role in helping pupils access learning and reach their full potential. Working closely with the class teacher and wider school staff, you will provide tailored support to children with a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, Speech and Language needs, and pupils with EHCPs.
This role offers flexible day-to-day supply, short-term and long-term opportunities, with many placements developing into ongoing or permanent positions.

📚 Helping to create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment for every child.
We are looking for someone who:
🌟 Has previous experience supporting children with SEN within a primary school or similar educational setting.
🌟 Holds a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or has recent, relevant experience working in education).
🌟 Has experience supporting children with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, Speech and Language needs or other additional learning needs.
🌟 Is patient, adaptable and confident working on a 1:1 basis as well as with small groups.
🌟 Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or is willing to obtain one.
🌟 Is able to travel to schools across Cannock and the surrounding areas.
🌟 Is fully registered with Academics (or willing to complete the registration process).
🌟 Is available to start from September 2026.
Pay
£93 - £110 per day, depending on experience and the nature of the assignment. Holiday pay is included within the daily rate.
