I am pleased to be working with an established manufacturing business in Cannock to recruit an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong SolidWorks skills and experience in mechanical product design who enjoys taking products from an initial idea through to production. You'll be joining a supportive engineering team where you'll have the chance to develop new products, improve existing designs and see your ideas brought to life.

Key Responsibilities
Designing and developing new products, taking ideas from the initial concept right through to production
Creating 3D models, technical drawings and assemblies using SolidWorks
Building and testing prototypes, making improvements to ensure products perform well and are ready for manufacture
Preparing the technical drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs) and documentation needed to support production
Working closely with the production team to make sure designs are practical, efficient and cost-effective to manufacture
Looking at ways to improve existing products through new materials, manufacturing techniques and design enhancements
Supporting design changes and continuous improvement projects as products evolve
About You
Previous experience in a Mechanical Design Engineer or Product Design Engineer role within a manufacturing environment
Strong SolidWorks skills
Experience producing manufacturing drawings
A creative approach to problem-solving with a practical, hands-on mindset
Someone who enjoys working closely with colleagues across engineering, production and other departments
Excellent attention to detail and a genuine passion for designing high-quality products
