The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
Our client, a prominent player in the water industry, is currently seeking a highly skilled Project Manager for an exciting contract position. This significant £30m+ pipeline project extends 16km from Oldbury to Meriden, between Nuneaton and Coventry. The project involves the installation of a 1200mm diameter polyethylene pipe, traversing rural areas, the M6, A45, and a section of ancient woodland, over a 2-year build period.
Key Responsibilities:
Leading a core team of agents, engineers, foremen, and work teams to ensure successful project delivery
Overseeing all aspects of safety, commercial, programme, and stakeholder management
Managing project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation effectively
Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
Coordinating with various stakeholders including contractors, clients, and regulatory bodies
Implementing and managing digital platforms relevant to project execution
Job Requirements:
Experience in civil engineering, specifically within the water industry
Proven leadership abilities in managing large-scale infrastructure projects
Strong understanding of groundworks, temporary works, and clean water systems
Experience in working with client and contractor digital platforms
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Proficiency in safety and regulatory compliance
Ability to effectively manage commercial aspects of the project
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
