Technical Operator - Engineering & Manufacturing

We are recruiting for a Technical Operator to join an established engineering and manufacturing company based in Carnwath.

You do not need previous brake press experience for this role. Full training can be provided.

We are looking for someone who is practical, comfortable working with machinery and keen to learn new skills.

You may currently be working as a:

Machine Operator
Production Operator
CNC Operator
Manufacturing Operative
Engineering Operative
Fabrication Operative

What will you be doing?

You will work within a busy engineering workshop operating machinery used to manufacture metal components.

You will initially work alongside experienced members of the team and receive training on the company's machinery, including CNC hydraulic press brake equipment.

Your duties will include:

Operating production machinery
Loading and unloading materials
Checking finished parts
Using basic measuring equipment
Following job instructions and production requirements
Keeping your work area safe and tidy
Learning how to set and operate additional machinery

What are we looking for?

You don't need to be a qualified engineer or an experienced Brake Press Operator.

We would like to hear from you if you have previous experience operating machinery within a factory, manufacturing, engineering, metal or production environment.

More importantly, you should be reliable, practical, safety conscious and willing to learn.

This is a permanent, workshop-based position in Carnwath, ML11, so you must be able to reliably travel to the site for work.
