Job Description
CER Education are currently seeking reliable and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to work on a supply basis across a range of primary schools in Rotherham. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking for flexible work while gaining valuable experience in different school environments.
Key Responsibilities
Support class teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons
Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2
Assist with classroom management and behaviour support
Help to create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
Support pupils with additional learning needs where required
Prepare and organise learning resources and activities
Contribute to the overall development and wellbeing of pupils
Person Specification
Essential:
Experience working with children (in schools, childcare, coaching, or similar settings)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A proactive, flexible, and adaptable approach
A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and developmentDesirable:
Previous experience working in a primary school setting
Knowledge of the UK primary curriculum
Experience supporting pupils with SEN or additional needs
Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, or equivalent)
