Finance Manager
Location: Brentford, Middlesex
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum
Hours: 08:00 - 17:00, Monday to Friday (1-hour lunch break)
Working Pattern: Fully office-based (No hybrid working)
Reporting To: Finance Director

The Opportunity Our client is seeking an ambitious and dynamic Finance Manager to join their finance team and support the Finance Director in driving strategic decision-making across the business. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated finance professional with strong leadership capabilities and a proactive, hands-on approach.
You will take ownership of the day-to-day finance function, lead a team of five finance professionals, and play a key role in ensuring robust financial controls, accurate reporting, and efficient financial operations.

Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of five within the finance department.
Produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts.
Ensure all balance sheet reconciliations are completed monthly.
Work closely with the Finance Director on financial and regulatory reporting requirements.
Oversee weekly payroll processing and client invoicing to ensure strict deadlines are achieved.
Manage and approve weekly supplier payment runs.
Ensure VAT, PAYE, CIS, and Corporation Tax obligations are accurately prepared and submitted on time.
Manage all bank reconciliations across the business.
Oversee petty cash, company credit cards, and employee expenses.
Manage the company's invoice discounting facility.
Assist with cash flow forecasting and working capital management.
Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures.
Support the Finance Director throughout the annual audit process.
Manage fixed asset accounting, including a fleet of company vehicles.
Maintain hire purchase schedules and record interest payments accurately.
Produce ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting for senior management.
Identify opportunities to improve business processes, financial controls, and operational efficiencies. Candidate Requirements
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Finance Manager, Financial Controller, or similar role.
Previous experience managing and developing finance teams.
ACCA or CIMA part-qualified as a minimum (fully qualified candidates also welcome).
Strong technical accounting knowledge.
Excellent understanding of month-end and year-end accounting processes.
Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems.
Experience with Sage 50 Cloud would be highly advantageous.
Degree educated (desirable).
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across the business.
