Accounts Administrator

£30,000 - £35,000, East Grinstead, Monday to Thursday 8:00am - 5:00pm, Friday 8:00am - 3:00pm, Permanent, 21 days holiday + bank holidays, Pension, Free parking

The Role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Administrator to join a dynamic and friendly team within a construction contractor based in East Grinstead. The Accounts Administrator will provide accounts and administrative support to the commercial function, playing an important role in the successful delivery of contracts by working closely with the accounts team, site management teams and subcontractors.

Producing purchase orders and reviewing financial information with the accounts team
Raising sales invoices, including retentions
Supporting the administration of subcontractor accounts and registrations
Ensuring subcontractor records, including insurance documentation, are accurate and up to date
Setting up, inputting and maintaining information across company databases
Pre-populating review forms, collating information and maintaining accurate records
Carrying out basic document control and data entry
Supporting site management teams with administrative tasks
Liaising with subcontractors, trades and internal colleagues
Providing general office and accounts administration support

Requirements

The successful Accounts Administrator will ideally have at least 12 months' experience within an accounts or finance-based position. Experience within the construction industry and knowledge of CIS would be highly desirable, along with experience using SAGE or similar accounts software. Strong Microsoft Office skills are desirable, as is the ability to communicate confidently with colleagues, subcontractors and site-based teams. You will be professional and conscientious, with excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills. This role could suit someone who has worked as an Accounts Assistant, Finance Administrator or Accounts Coordinator.

£30,000 - £35,000 salary
