The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
We are currently recruiting for a Delivery & Installation Technician to join an established organisation based near Guildford, Surrey.
This is a varied, hands-on role involving driving, deliveries, installations and collections across Surrey. Full training will be provided, making this a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being out on the road, working practically and providing a high level of customer service.
The role will include:
* Driving a company van to locations across Surrey
* Delivering and collecting a range of items
* Installing items at customer locations
* Loading and unloading goods, including some heavier items
* Carrying out basic installations, with some servicing and repair work where required
* Using basic DIY skills as part of installation work
* Providing excellent customer service while out on the road
* Participating in an out-of-hours and weekend rota
What we're looking for:
* Previous relevant experience would be beneficial, although full training will be provided
* A full UK driving licence held for a minimum of 3 years, with no more than 6 points
* Previous van driving experience would be beneficial
* Comfortable with a physically active role, including loading and unloading
* Excellent customer service and communication skills
* Basic DIY skills would be advantageous
* Reliable, hardworking and comfortable working independently
