Freelance Quantity Surveyor
Location: Glasgow
Rate: Competitive Day Rate
Contract: Freelance / Temporary

Our client, a well-established and growing main contractor, is looking to appoint an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on an ongoing contract basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with a small, dynamic contractor delivering a range of mostly refurbishment projects.

Key Responsibilities:

* Managing project costs from pre-construction through to final account.

* Preparing and reviewing valuations, variations, and cost reports.

* Subcontractor procurement, payments, and account management.

* Monitoring project budgets and identifying commercial risks.

* Supporting the delivery team to ensure projects are completed within budget.

* Liaising with clients, subcontractors, and site teams.

Requirements:

* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.

* Strong main contractor background is essential.

* Experience managing commercial aspects of construction projects.

* Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Relevant degree or professional qualification preferred.
