How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    An excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Turner to join a well-established company!

    Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent.

    Salary: Competitive Hourly Rate, Potential Earnings of £75k PA.

    Location: Glasgow G72.

    The company are seeking to recruit multiple experienced CNC Turners with a "can do attitude" to join their team.

    Experience of Oil and Gas type work, plus Fanuc Controls would be preferred.

    They can offer days, nights or a combination of both. They also offer the option of 4- or 5-day working week.

    Candidate Requirements:

    * Proven experience as a CNC Turner

    * Experience of machining parts for the Oil and Gas Industry.

    * Ability to interpret customer drawing requirements

    * Ability to prepare and amend CNC programs

    * Ability to set up and carry out machining operations on a variety of Doosan CNC lathes.

    * Ability to conduct verification of product dimensions and features to customer drawings using a variety of measuring and monitoring equipment

    * Ability to work in accordance with Company quality process procedures as specified in the Company’s Quality Management System

    * Ability to conduct appropriate maintenance checks

    * Ability to apply appropriate health and safety practices as laid down by the Company

    * Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
