Tradewind Recruitment in Whitstable is working closely with a range of primary, secondary and specialist SEN schools across Dover and the surrounding areas, seeking enthusiastic and energetic Sports Teaching Assistants to join their teams immediately.
This role is ideal for anyone with a background in coaching, fitness or sport who wants to use those skills to support children both in the classroom and during PE, enrichment activities and outdoor learning.
Your Responsibilities
As a Sports Teaching Assistant, no two days will be the same. You'll be expected to:
Support pupils with their learning during classroom lessons.
Use sport and physical activity to encourage engagement, confidence and positive behaviour.
Assist teachers during PE lessons and school sporting activities.
Deliver small group or one-to-one interventions for pupils who need additional support.
Encourage participation, teamwork and healthy lifestyles.
Help pupils develop important life skills including communication, resilience and self-esteem.
Support children with a range of additional needs, including SEND and SEMH where required.Who Should Apply?

Sports coaches.
Sports Science or Sports Coaching graduates.
Personal trainers and fitness instructors.
Football, rugby, cricket, athletics, swimming or gymnastics coaches.
Activity leaders and holiday camp staff.
Youth workers or mentors.
Anyone with experience leading or motivating children and young people through sport.You'll Be Successful If You Have

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, resilience and a positive attitude.
The ability to motivate pupils of all abilities.
Confidence working as part of a school team.
