Our client is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Transport Planner to join their growing team in Wolverhampton.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in transport, logistics, or general haulage—or someone with a good understanding of the industry—who is looking to develop a long-term career. Working as part of a busy transport office, you'll support the planning team with the day-to-day operation of the fleet, helping to ensure deliveries run efficiently while providing excellent service to customers and drivers.

Key Responsibilities
Provide excellent customer service and build positive relationships with customers.
Support Senior Transport Planners with the day-to-day administration of the transport office.
Assist with planning vehicle routes to maximise efficiency and profitability.
Communicate with drivers, customers, and subcontractors to ensure jobs run smoothly.
Help coordinate driver, trailer, and vehicle availability.
Accurately process transport jobs using the company's transport management system.
Prepare ad hoc quotations for customers.
Notify relevant parties of abnormal load movements where required.
Provide drivers with job information and assist with resolving any operational issues.
Maintain accurate transport records and ensure all documentation is completed correctly.
Skills & Experience
A basic understanding of the transport, logistics, or haulage industry.
Previous experience in transport, logistics, planning, or administration is desirable but not essential.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
Good numerical, written, and verbal communication skills.
Ability to remain calm and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Competent in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Knowledge of different vehicle, trailer, and load types would be advantageous.
Full UK Driving Licence.
