Location: Wolverhampton (WV1) x 4 days per week, Stonehouse (GL10) x 1 day per week
Salary: £45,000- £55,000 per annum
Working hours: Monday to Friday 07:30- 15:30
We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join our clients growing manufacturing businesses.
Reporting directly to the Director, this role will partner with managers across both businesses, providing professional HR support and commercially focused people solutions. The successful candidate will lead employee relations matters, provide expert employment law guidance, support organisational development and ensure the businesses remain compliant with employment legislation and HR best practice.
This role is ideal for an experienced HR professional who enjoys working autonomously, building strong relationships with managers and making a genuine impact within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities – HR Business Partner
Employee Relations
Lead and manage employee relations cases
Conduct investigations and support Managers with formal meetings
Prepare investigation reports ensuring fair, consistent and legally complaint decision making
Employment Law and Compliance
Provide practical advice on employment law and HR best practice.
Maintain and update company policies and procedures.
Performance and Talent Management
Support probation reviews and performance management processes.
Coach managers on employee development and performance improvement.
Assist with succession planning and workforce planning.
Support learning and development initiatives across the business.
Recruitment and Onboarding
Manage recruitment campaigns for salaried and operational roles.
Work with recruitment agencies and direct recruitment platforms.
Screen CVs and coordinate interviews.
Conduct interviews where appropriate.
Support onboarding and induction processes.
Identify opportunities to improve recruitment attraction and retention.
Manager Coaching and Support
Act as a trusted advisor to managers.
Build management capability through coaching and guidance.
Support managers with difficult conversations and people management challenges.
Promote consistent people practices across both businesses.
HR Projects
Support organisational change initiatives.
Lead specific HR improvement projects.
Contribute to employee engagement and culture initiatives.
Review and improve HR processes and systems.
Ensure compliance with employment legislation.
Monitor legal developments and recommend appropriate business changes.
Support GDPR and employee data protection compliance.
Assist with HR audits and compliance reviews.
Qualifications & Requirements – HR Business Partner
Essential
CIPD Level 5 Qualified or above
Significant experience within a standalone position to include managing complex HR cases independently
Strong employee relations experience
Up to date knowledge of UK Employment Law
Ability to challenge constructively and professionally
Ability to manage a varied workload
Excellent investigation, report writing and communication skills
Full UK driving licence
Desirable
CIPD Level 7 Qualification
Manufacturing, engineering or industrial sector experience
Experience supporting organisational growth and change
Experience of HR systems
Knowledge of occupational health and wellbeing management
