The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

We have a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Site Engineer to join our site-based delivery team in the Southwest. As a key delivery partner on a critical, highly regulated infrastructure development, you will join our Site Management Authorisation team. This is a unique role offering "intelligent oversight" where you will ensure site works are executed safely, accurately, and to the highest engineering standards.
The Role
Your primary focus will be to act as a vital link between design, compliance, and on-site delivery. You will manage daily site activities, coordinate subcontractors, solve engineering problems as they arise, and ensure strict alignment with project specifications and health and safety legislation.
Key Responsibilities
Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure overall compliance with H&S legislation, CDM regulations, and company policies, actively reviewing RAMS, Safe Systems of Work (SSoW), and permits.
Subcontractor & Team Coordination: Coordinate and manage subcontractor activities, including chairing regular site coordination, progress, and H&S meetings.
Technical Oversight: Review engineering drawings, maintain/update site CAD drawings, and proactively manage Technical Queries (TQs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
Site Records & Progress Tracking: Ensure all daily on-site activities are meticulously documented through daily diaries, photographs, and production control schedules.
Project Scheduling: Scrutinize and undertake detailed scheduling and programming of site activities in conjunction with subcontractors and the wider site team.
Risk Management: Work closely with the site team to identify delivery opportunities and risks, helping to maintain the project Risk Register.
Workforce Education: Support the training and development of subcontractors, site supervisors, and the wider workforce regarding site rules and emergency procedures.
Handover Documentation: Ensure all necessary project and quality documentation is produced, collated, and completed seamlessly for final handover.
What We Are Looking For
Essential:
Experience: 0-2+ years of site engineering experience with a developing knowledge of construction techniques.
Qualifications: Degree, HNC, or HND in Civil Engineering (or equivalent vocational experience), alongside valid CSCS and SMSTS or IOSH certifications.
Technical Skills: Proficient IT skills, including basic AutoCad and MS Office.
Soft Skills: An engaging, adaptable communicator who can build strong stakeholder relationships and handle rapid changes on-site.Desirable (Highly Valued):
Experience with BIM/Digital software (Autodesk/Bentley) and scheduling tools (Aphex, Primavera P6).
Knowledge of construction contract law (specifically NEC forms of contract).
Prior experience working within highly regulated environments (e.g., Nuclear, defense, or marine infrastructure).
Additional site tickets (e.g., Temporary Works Coordinator, Lifting Appointed Person, Confined Spaces).
