How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    A leading player in the maritime sector is seeking a talented C++ Software Engineer to join their innovative team. As a C++ Software Engineer, you will be at the forefront of developing cutting-edge software solutions that drive the future of maritime technology. This role offers the chance to work on challenging projects in a dynamic and collaborative environment, where your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and safety of maritime operations.

    In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance software applications using C++. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and scalable solutions. Your expertise in C++ will be crucial in optimizing software performance and ensuring the reliability of maritime systems.

    Key Responsibilities:
    Your duties as the C++ Software Engineer will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
    1. Design and implement software applications using C++.
    2. Collaborate with hardware and software teams to integrate solutions.
    3. Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices.
    4. Troubleshoot and debug software issues to maintain system integrity.

    Candidate Profile:
    1. Relevant degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
    2. Proven industry experience in software development, particularly with C++.

    4. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    5. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
