The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

We are seeking an organised, proactive and professional Attendance Officer to join a busy secondary school in Greenwich on a temporary basis with an immediate start available.
This is a key role within the school, supporting student attendance, safeguarding and pastoral processes to ensure students are fully supported to engage positively with their education.
The Role
You will oversee daily attendance procedures, monitor student absence and punctuality, and maintain strong communication with parents/carers to support improved attendance outcomes. You will work closely with pastoral teams, safeguarding staff and senior leaders to ensure accurate attendance monitoring and effective intervention where required.
Responsibilities
Monitor and record daily student attendance and punctuality across KS3–KS5
Follow up on absences and maintain communication with parents/carers
Identify attendance concerns and support intervention strategies
Produce attendance reports and maintain accurate school records
Work closely with safeguarding, pastoral and senior leadership teams
Liaise with external agencies and local authorities where required
Conduct attendance meetings and support attendance improvement plans
Ensure attendance procedures comply with safeguarding and statutory guidance The Ideal Candidate
Previous experience within a secondary school attendance, pastoral or administrative role desirable
Strong organisational and administrative skills
Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
Ability to work calmly and professionally within a fast-paced school environment
Understanding of safeguarding and attendance procedures within education settings
Good IT skills and experience using school management systems desirable
