How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Education Matters Group is recruiting on behalf of a successful and oversubscribed secondary school in South East London seeking to appoint an outstanding Health & Social Care Teacher to join their team on a part-time basis from September 2026.

    This is an exciting opportunity to join a welcoming, high-performing school with excellent facilities, a supportive leadership team and a strong commitment to staff development. The successful candidate will teach Health & Social Care at Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5, inspiring students to achieve their full potential.

    The Role
    Teach Health & Social Care across KS4 and KS5.
    Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons.
    Monitor student progress and provide effective feedback.
    Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
    Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives.
    Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve outstanding outcomes. The Ideal Candidate
    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
    Experience teaching Health & Social Care at KS4.
    KS5 teaching experience is desirable.
    Excellent subject knowledge and strong classroom practice.
    Passionate about helping students succeed.
