Assistant Site Manager – Care Home

Location: Morpeth, Northumberland

Position: Assistant Site Manager

Contract: Freelance

Start Date: 7th of September

Duration: Three Weeks Cover

Rate: £26 per hour CIS

We are currently looking for an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join a busy care home development in Morpeth on a freelance basis.

Working closely with the Site Manager, you will support the day-to-day management of the project, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Supporting the Site Manager with the day-to-day running of the site.

Coordinating subcontractors and site operatives across multiple trades.

Monitoring progress and ensuring works remain on programme.

Carrying out regular site inspections and ensuring a high standard of workmanship.

Assisting with health & safety compliance and maintaining site standards.

Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers and the wider project team.

Assisting with site documentation, RAMS, permits and quality records.

Identifying and reporting any issues that could affect programme, quality or safety.

Maintaining a professional and organised site environment.

Requirements

Previous experience working as an Assistant Site Manager or similar.

Experience within care homes, residential, commercial or similar construction projects.

Strong understanding of health & safety and site procedures.

Good communication and organisational skills.

Ability to coordinate multiple trades and subcontractors effectively.

Relevant site qualifications, including SMSTS/SSSTS and CSCS.

A proactive approach and ability to work as part of a wider site team.
