The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
Escape Recruitment is working with a manufacturing client in Fife to recruit an experienced Quality Technician who is ready to take the next step into a Quality Engineer role.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a solid background in quality within a manufacturing environment who is looking to develop their career further and gain greater responsibility within a supportive team.
The role will involve:
* Investigating quality issues and carrying out root cause analysis
* Supporting and driving corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
* Analysing quality data and identifying trends and improvement opportunities
* Working closely with engineering and production teams to resolve issues
* Supporting quality systems, documentation and internal audits
* Contributing to continuous improvement activities across the business
We're looking for someone with:
* Previous experience as a Quality Technician (or similar) within a manufacturing environment
* A strong understanding of quality processes and problem solving techniques
* Experience using tools such as 5 Why, 8D or similar methodologies
* Knowledge of ISO 9001 or quality management systems
* Good communication skills and the confidence to work cross-functionally
Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, SPC or FMEA would be beneficial but is not essential
