Head of Risk & Compliance | Financial Services | London
I’m working with a growing financial services business in London that is looking to appoint a Head of Risk & Compliance.
This is a senior opportunity for an experienced risk and compliance professional who can take ownership of the function and work closely with senior stakeholders across the business.
The role will include:
Leading the risk and compliance function, taking ownership of the company’s risk and compliance framework and ensuring it remains effective and aligned with regulatory requirements.
You will provide practical advice to senior stakeholders, oversee compliance monitoring and risk assessments, manage regulatory relationships and support the development of robust policies, procedures and governance. The role will also involve identifying emerging risks, ensuring appropriate mitigation is in place and helping to embed a strong risk and compliance culture across the business. You will also be expected to provide risk insight and strategic recommendations to the Board, supporting effective oversight and informed decision-making at senior governance level.
Skills:
- Previous experience at Head of / Senior Risk & Compliance Manager level
- Strong experience within financial services or consumer finance
- A solid understanding of UK financial services regulation
- Experience presenting risk matters and providing strategic advice at Board level
- Strong risk management, compliance and governance experience
- Confidence working with senior leadership and influencing business decisions
- A pragmatic and commercially minded approach, with the ability to operate effectively within a fast-paced organisation
