The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

A leading environmental and waste management company is seeking a Site Chemist to support operations at its treatment facility. This role offers the chance to work across laboratory and operational functions, ensuring waste is assessed, processed, and managed safely and compliantly while supporting continuous site improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
Assessing and analysing incoming waste streams to determine suitable treatment or processing routes.
Supporting the safe operation of process plant activities in accordance with site permits and operating procedures.
Conducting laboratory analysis and sample testing in line with standard operating procedures and safety requirements.
Preparing and maintaining accurate documentation for incoming and outgoing waste movements.
Ensuring site operations remain fully compliant with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Supporting efficient site performance through timely analytical results and technical input.
Assisting with the evaluation of new waste streams and contributing to operational improvements.
Identifying and resolving waste acceptance or compliance-related issues where required.
What You’ll Need:
HNC in Chemistry (minimum)
Good understanding of hazardous waste classification and processing.
Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation within industrial or waste environments.
Experience handling hazardous chemicals safely and compliantly.
Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Ability to build positive working relationships with both internal teams and customers.
Practical mindset with strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
