Job Purpose
To safely and efficiently deliver Thamesmead’s cleaning, hygiene, and associated products to customers across London and the South East, providing a reliable, professional, and friendly service at every delivery point.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out multi-drop deliveries to a range of customer sites including hotels, offices, FM clients, and commercial premises
- Load and unload vehicles safely, ensuring goods are handled with care
- Plan delivery routes effectively to meet schedules and minimise delays
- Complete delivery paperwork and electronic proof of delivery accurately
- Maintain a high standard of customer service, acting as a positive ambassador for Thamesmead
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly
- Ensure all deliveries comply with health & safety, manual handling, and road traffic regulations
- Keep the vehicle clean, tidy, and roadworthy at all times
- Communicate effectively with the office regarding delays, issues, or customer feedback
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Full UK driving licence (clean or with minimal points)
- Experience in a multi-drop delivery role in London
- Good knowledge of London and South East road networks
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
- Reliable, punctual, and well-organised
Desirable
- Experience delivering to commercial or hospitality customers
- License with 7.5-tonne vehicles
- Basic use of handheld delivery devices or apps
