The London team is a key global hub, known for complex, high-value and cross-border work, particularly in transactional pensions, funding/restructuring and large-scale de-risking, often working alongside leading corporate and finance teams.
The role
Broad exposure to advisory and transactional pensions work, including:
- DB/DC scheme advice, governance, compliance, amendments and wind-ups
- Pensions aspects of M&A, private equity and restructurings (core focus)
- Funding negotiations, deficits and trustee engagement
- De-risking projects (buy-ins, buy-outs, liability management)
- Regulatory matters involving The Pensions Regulator
- Pension fund investments and related product work
Clients include large UK and multinational corporates, trustees, insurers and financial institutions.
Requirements
- England & Wales qualified (or equivalent)
- NQ–2 PQE; September 2026 qualifiers should have completed a pensions or employment seat with exposure to pensions law
- Strong academic record
- Commercially minded, with an interest in complex, high-quality work
