The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
Senior Control Systems Engineer (London)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Control Systems Engineer to take a leading role in delivering high-quality automation and control system projects from concept through to commissioning.
This is a hands-on position combining technical delivery with team leadership, offering the chance to work on complex, innovative projects while mentoring and developing engineers.
The Role
* Lead the full project lifecycle: design, development, programming, testing, and commissioning
* Develop control system solutions in collaboration with clients
* Programme and configure PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems
* Provide technical leadership and mentor engineers, graduates, and apprentices
* Attend client meetings and conduct site surveys
* Produce detailed technical documentation and ensure compliance
* Support site commissioning activities (occasional travel required)
Requirements
* 5+ years’ experience in a senior or lead control systems role
* Degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or similar
* Strong PLC, SCADA, and HMI experience (e.g. Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Wonderware/AVEVA)
* Proven experience in system design, programming, and modification
* Previous leadership or mentoring experience
* Strong client-facing and communication skills
* Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK
* Instrumentation and electrical experience desirable
