Key Responsibilities of the Engineer
* Ensure all production equipment is maintained to an agreed standard.
* Execute planned and preventative maintenance programmes on time and within budget.
* Ensure conformance to Health & Safety at all times.
* Fault finding and fixing any equipment as required whilst maintaining a focus on daily demands.
* Continually review production processes and equipment.
* Monitor performance on all equipment against set KPI’s.
* Provide input to continuous improvement to make an effective contribution to the overall running of the business.
* Assisting hygiene team with machine dismantle and reassembly as required.
Skills and Experience of the Engineer
* A minimum of HNC/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in an electrical biased engineering discipline or completed an engineering apprenticeship.
* Be qualified in 17th or 18th edition.
* Display a sound knowledge of PLC systems and an understanding of mechanical and pneumatic systems in line with current legislations - HASAWA, COSHH, PUWER, LOLER, WAHR and Electricity at Work Act.
* Solid experience in electrical control and drive circuits.
* Self-motivated and able to prioritise in a fast-paced environment
