As a Software Engineer - AI & Agentic Workflows, you’ll help design, build, and deploy GenAI-driven applications and machine learning solutions in the cloud, often directly aligned with client needs.
You’ll work across the full development cycle: from clarifying and refining the client’s needs, to designing, developing, and deploying robust, cloud-native solutions that are scalable, secure, and maintainable.
What you will doYou will play a central role in shaping how intelligent systems are designed and delivered. From the very first conversation with a client, you’ll help identify the core challenges they face and translate those into scalable AI and ML-driven solutions.
You’ll work closely with stakeholders to understand what they truly need — not just what they ask for — and help turn those needs into robust, cloud-native applications that deliver real value. Your day-to-day work will span everything from writing code and building APIs, to designing workflows powered by GenAI and integrating with complex systems.
More specifically, you will:
- Design, develop, and deploy AI applications and ML models in real-world production environments
- Build agentic workflows and GenAI-powered tools that connect with APIs, databases, and external services
- Set up CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions to ensure fast, reliable delivery
- Work hands-on with Azure cloud services, including Azure Functions, Azure Data Factory, and Role-Based Access Control
- Develop and maintain APIs using Python (FastAPI, REST APIs), and make use of data libraries such as Pandas and PySpark
- Follow cloud-native architecture best practices to ensure scalability, security, and maintainability
- Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure seamless end-to-end solutions (experience with JavaScript frameworks is a plus)
- Implement role-based authentication and enforce security best practices across systems
- Languages: Python (FastAPI, REST APIs, Azure Functions), JavaScript (optional).
- AI/ML: Pandas, scikit-learn, PySpark, GenAI tools and frameworks.
- Cloud: Azure (Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, IaC templates, RBAC).
- DevOps: Azure DevOps, GitHub, GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines, Docker.
- Data: API integrations, ETL, databases, data pipelines.
- 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer or ML Engineer, with a focus on AI/ML in production environments
- Strong proficiency in Python, with hands-on experience in FastAPI, REST APIs, and Azure Functions
- Experience building and deploying cloud-native applications on Azure
- Familiarity with CI/CD and deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
- Experience in API development, Docker, and using IaC templates
- Basic understanding of databases and data modeling
- Knowledge of role-based authentication is a plus
- Affinity with GenAI and agentic workflows is a strong advantage
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain and justify technical decisions
- Strong communication skills in Dutch and English (both mandatory).
