What will you do as a Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement Lead?

As a Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement Lead, you will be a key driver in enhancing our integrated SHEQ management system. You will provide specialist support and governance, ensuring our operations are not only compliant but also continuously improving. Your expertise will be vital in providing leadership and support to our teams at the different sites and helping to improve processes and achieve our business goals. You will be developing and leading the implementation of quality management system improvement programs within the Business Unit Netherlands.

• A gross annual salary between €85,000 and €100,000 based on knowledge and experience.

What do we expect from you as a Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement Lead?

• Relevant degree (HBO/Academic level) is preferred.
• At least 3‑5 years of experience in quality assurance, with a strong background in management systems including document control and internal audits, ideally within the (petro)chemical, bulk storage industry or a similar high‑risk industrial environment.
• Good communication (written, verbal) and social skills, with a strong command of both English and Dutch (Dutch proficiency is mandatory).
• Proven knowledge of integrated ISO management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
• Experience in developing and implementing QMS improvements.
• Proficient in data analysis and creating performance monitoring dashboards.
• You are results‑oriented, a good problem solver, and have strong judgment. You are also persuasive, persistent, and can work autonomously while taking ownership of your work.
• Passion for quality assurance, document control, and the ability to motivate and mobilize others.
• Eligibility to work in the Netherlands.

What does your day look like?

You’ll work closely with various departments to develop and drive quality improvement programs. A typical day might involve meeting with different teams to define clear roles and responsibilities for document control, analyzing data to identify trends in our quality metrics, and providing advice and expertise to help colleagues improve their processes. You might spend your day coordinating the internal audit program or participating in an audit at one of our sites. You’ll also be hands‑on with administrative tasks, ensuring the QMS remains up‑to‑date and accurate.

Your core responsibilities are:

• Lead QMS Improvement: Develop and implement a strategy to significantly improve the quality management system, with a specific focus on document control.
• Drive Performance Analysis: Develop and maintain dashboards to monitor and analyze quality data, identifying key improvement opportunities and tracking progress toward objectives.
• Manage the Internal Audit program: Coordinate the internal audit program as well as participate in internal audits.
• Provide Expertise: Advise and support management and employees on quality topics, coaching them on how to achieve expected standards.
• Project Leadership: Lead continuous improvement projects (related to quality or standardization) across departments.
• Document Control: Ensure the current document control system is effectively managed, with a clear overview of documents, review dates, and responsibilities.
• Administrative Support: Conduct necessary administrative tasks related to quality assurance that cannot be automated, such as quality checking procedures.
