DevOps Engineer

The team focuses on new technologies, translates them into practical business solutions based on a customer centric approach and drives the digital maturity of the Pon Companies by giving training and experimenting with them on new technologies.

Your role:

As a Devops engineer you are involved in the full life cycle of a solution, being responsible for the
design and implementation of solutions´ build, release, deployment, test and operation.
You are the contact person for the Pon Companies related to questions on the devops platform and
applications.
As part of the Technology Innovation team you work closely together with the developers and engineers in
the Pon Companies. The Technology Innovation team consists of 18 people and is part of the Datalab of Pon (60 FTE).
You will be working in the Amsterdam and Leusden office and at the location of the Opco's.
You will report into Lead Gen AI and Devops.

Your key tasks:

• Use and maintain tools, services and applications such as Jira, Github, Cloudflare, AWS, and GCP

• Drive quality solutions that are aligned with Pon's architectural standards including Security and create value for Pon
  and customers

• Take ownership of solutions´ build, release, deployment, test, and operation.

• Monitor production software

• Help refine your team's backlog by identifying and estimating your own tasks

• Make sure that you deliver the points that you have estimated in every sprint in line with the

  Definition of Done.

We measure your success by customer satisfaction, collaboration with other teams, product stability and quality, and the realization of the digital roadmap.

What we're looking for:

Your Profile:

• You are a self-starter

• Eager to learn new technologies and tools

• You like working together in teams to find creative solutions

• You are an excellent communicator and can adjust to constant business change
  involving changing goals and technologies.

Must-haves:

• a Bachelor of Science in (e.g) Computer Science, Programming/Systems, or equivalent work experience

• 5+ years of programming experience

• Experience working in applications, systems, or IT operations

• Experience with agile team environment and processes

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Working knowledge of two or more programming languages (preferably Go, Rust, C++)

• You have an affinity with or are proficient at using and administering DevOps tooling

• Excellent communication skills in English and Dutch

• You must be a resident of the Netherlands
