As the Quality Manager Global Account / Key Account in the QMBKA department, you are the single point of contact for a major customer and mainly responsible for all customer related quality topics and requirements as well as for the professional management of the Global Account / Key Account Product Quality Engineers.
The Quality Manager works closely together with the Product Management and Key Account Team to fulfil the customer requirements and needs.
In addition, the Quality Manager also strives for a zero‑defect culture and acts as an interface between all global stakeholders and the customer on quality topics.
The definition and tracking of the customer‑specific quality objectives and initiatives are just as much a part of the tasks as the regular customer meetings to track the scorecard rating and progress as well as to define corrective actions if needed.
The Quality Manager accompanies customer visits and customer audits for the defined customer and strives to meet customer expectations and to increase customer satisfaction / trust to become a preferred and strategic partner.
YOUR CHALLENGES- Professional management of the Global Account / Key Account Product Quality Engineers
- Responsible for qualitative products in the market and supporting customer quality expectations and requirements
- Responsible for quality escalations or customer dissatisfaction regarding quality progress
- Standardisation and optimisation of product quality processes as well as customer‑specific processes
- Develop and maintain working relationships with cross‑functional departments and customers
- Close collaboration with all stakeholders and customers worldwide on all customer quality‑related topics
- Management and coordination of the annual Global Account / Key Account quality objectives and initiatives
- Responsible for the Scorecard Section Quality (definition of quality initiatives, monitoring, material preparation, customer communication)
- Leading or accompanying customer visits and audits (responsible for the quality topics)
- Monitoring the customer and VAT Quality KPI’s and definition and tracking of corrective measures
- Five years + of experience in quality management and direct customer contact
- Profound experience of the quality process (mechanism) of high‑tech components in a highly consolidated market environment on a global scale
- Experience in the Semiconductor Industry and the relevant processes as well as customer requirements (e.g., Copy Exact)
- Very good knowledge of the VAT products, function and area of application
- Teamwork in international teams and ability to work in a matrix organisation
- Advanced knowledge in audit management, project management, complaint management, quality tools, product development and change management
- Background about ISO and IATF norms and standards
- Bachelor degree or education as Quality Expert / Manager (or similar)
- Bachelor degree or apprenticeship in electrical and/or mechanical engineering/profession advantageous
- Good listening, communication, presentation and moderation skills
- Qualification / Education as Auditor
- Basic knowledge of ISO and IATF requirements
- Good skills in escalation and conflict management
- In‑depth knowledge of quality tools such as 8D, Ishikawa, 3‑legged 5‑why, Fishbone diagram, FMEA, SPC, etc.
- Ability to hold others accountable as required
- Systematic, methodical and solution‑oriented approach to work
- Fluent English and German
