We are looking for both a Lead and Senior Instrumentation Engineer to contribute to innovative offshore infrastructure, ensuring high-quality, efficient, and safe instrumentation solutions. As a Lead Instrumentation Engineer, you will guide a team of engineers, oversee complex projects, and ensure technical excellence. As a Senior Instrumentation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining instrumentation systems for offshore and energy applications.
Tasks & responsibilities:For Lead Instrumentation Engineer:
- Lead and manage a team of instrumentation engineers, ensuring quality and efficiency in project execution.
- Develop instrumentation design strategies and oversee implementation across multiple offshore projects.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for instrumentation design, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and client requirements.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to the instrumentation engineering team.
- Optimise instrumentation solutions for efficiency, safety, and long-term reliability.
For Senior Instrumentation Engineer:
- Design and implement control & instrumentation systems for offshore platforms, substations, and energy projects.
- Prepare instrumentation deliverables, including loop diagrams, P&IDs, cable schedules, and specifications.
- Select and specify field instruments, valves, and automation components.
- Ensure compliance with IEC, ATEX, and other industry components.
- Support commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of instrumentation systems.
- Collaborate with lead engineers, project teams, and vendors to ensure seamless integration.
- Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Control Engineering.
- Experience:
- Lead: Minimum 10+ years of experience in instrumentation and control engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Senior: Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in instrumentation and control systems.
- Strong background in offshore platform design, HV substations, and energy infrastructure projects.
- Experience with DCS, PLC, SCADA, and SIS systems in industrial applications.
- Proficiency in Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI) and other relevant design tools.
- Knowledge of IEC, ATEX, API, and NORSOK standards.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- For Lead role: Proven experience in leading and mentoring engineering teams.
- Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Dutch is a plus!
