As Payroll Specialist, you are responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll within AFAS. You ensure compliance with Dutch labor law, tax regulations, and company policies, while supporting employees and managers with payroll-related questions. You play a key role in optimising payroll processes and improving our use of AFAS.

This is a fulltime position, primarily office-based in Dordrecht, with the possibility to work from home one day per week.

• Process monthly payroll in AFAS for all employees (blue- and white-collar)
• Ensure accurate salary calculations, allowances, overtime, offshore compensation, and expense reimbursements
• Maintain and manage employee data in AFAS
• Handle pension administration and liaise with pension providers
• Manage payroll-related tax filings and ensure compliance with Dutch legislation and collective labor agreements (CAO)
• Prepare payroll reports, analyses, and journal entries for Finance
• Support audits and provide required payroll documentation
• Act as first point of contact for payroll-related questions from employees and managers
• Identify and implement improvements in payroll processes and AFAS workflows
• Collaborate closely with HR and Finance teams

• MBO+/HBO level education, preferably in Payroll Administration or HR
• Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist in the Netherlands, preferably with experience in the offshore- or marine industry
• Strong hands‑on experience with AFAS Profit (required)
• Knowledge of Dutch payroll legislation, tax regulations, and pension schemes
• Experience with offshore or project-based organizations is a plus
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Discreet and trustworthy with confidential information
• Strong communication skills in Dutch and English
